Is the game suitable for children?

Motive for Murder is recommended for ages 16+ and includes adult language and references to violence, drugs and sex. For younger players, try Monsters M.I.A.

Do we enter any buildings?

No. Your route uses outdoor public locations. For walking maps, you'll typically be in front of buildings. For driving maps, you'll park in parking lots to listen to the audio and do your detective work.

Do we need headphones?

For walking routes, earbuds or headphones are recommended because city streets can be noisy. Driving groups can play the audio through the vehicle stereo.

Can we stop and finish later?

Yes. The game is not time-sensitive, so pause whenever you like and resume when your detectives are ready.
